The University of Quebec graduate scholarships are based on the research of two graduate students and will consist of studying the added value of new regional climate models.
The ESCER Center (Étude et Simulation du Climat à l’Échelle Régionale) at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is recruiting three graduate students to join our team as part of a project funded by the ESCER Center. Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada

Value and duration of the award:
- The University of Quebec graduate scholarship will be valued at $20,000 per year.
- Additionally, a base amount of $13,000 will be provided to all full-time students enrolled during 3 years of study: Year 1: $5,000, Year 2: $4,000 and Year 3: $4,000.

feature: If you want to be considered for this scholarship You must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a master’s degree in environmental science. climate science atmospheric science Meteorology, hydrology, physics, geography, mathematics or related fields.
- Strong experience in writing and publishing peer-reviewed scientific papers.
- Possesses strong autonomy skills and an excellent ability to interact with students and faculty.
- Good knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Fortran, C/C++, Matlab, Python, Julia, R) and
- Experience in managing large volumes of climate data sets.
- Demonstrate fluency in English (speaking and writing skills) and interest in learning and interacting in French.
